The 2009 Merlot Cuvee 37.2 emerges from the glass with jammy dark fruit new leather spices and licorice. This is a decidedly super-ripe style with tons of fruit. Elements of heat and over-extraction in the tannins keep the score from going higher. In 2009 the blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.
