Vtg ’06 - The 2006 was the first vintage produced of this wine. Its aim is a different style of Bordeaux blend with less Cabernet Sauvignon and more Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The blend here is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon 40% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot. It has a very deep garnet colour and is scented of macerated blackberries and Chinese five spice with supporting notes of loam game tree bark and cedar. The full bodied palate is lifted with crisp acidity and a medium to high level of finely grained tannins with plenty of opulent fruit and spice flavours lingering long into the finish.
